ELGODS is an educational resource. All content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional religious guidance, scholarly research, or medical/mental health advice.

ELGODS content is tiered. Entries marked REVIEWED have been approved by an Advisory Council reviewer with expertise in the relevant tradition and are cited to named scholarship with structured geographic data (Tier 0 bar). Entries marked UNVERIFIED are drafts pending review. The Sacred Census shows live counts, and every entry page displays its own review status.

ELGODS is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the content is free from errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site.

When using information from ELGODS, you should attribute the specific tradition or faith community that is the source of that knowledge. The encyclopedia documents how traditions describe themselves — not how outsiders evaluate them.

ELGODS treats every tradition with equal respect. We do not rank, compare, or claim superiority of any tradition over another. We do not syncretize traditions or imply that any tradition is incomplete or inferior.

The structure and code of ELGODS are available under open source license. The content (markdown entries) are contributed by volunteers and may be edited by the community. The content reflects the knowledge of the tradition as described by practitioners and scholars.

Do not reproduce content from ELGODS in a way that implies endorsement by the Advisory Council or by any religious tradition unless the content has been verified and the tradition has explicitly approved such use.

ELGODS may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked websites.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
