Buddhist / Vajrayana / Gelug - Location: Key Monastery, Lahul and Spiti, Himachal Pradesh (32.295°N, 78.01°E) Key Monastery (Kee/Kye/Ki) — the largest in Spiti Valley — was founded 11th c. by the disciples of Atiśa. The monastery's murals and thangkas (11th–17th c.) include the full Pañca-Buddha (5 cosmic Buddhas): Akṣobhya (east), Ratnasambhava (south), Amitābha (west), Amoghasiddhi (north), Vairocana (center). The annual Chaam Dance (July) is one of the major Spiti festivals.
