Đạo Mẫu ("Religion of the Mothers") is Vietnam's indigenous goddess-worship tradition, recognized by UNESCO in 2016 as intangible cultural heritage. Devotees worship the Four Palaces of Mother Goddesses — of Heaven, Earth, Water, and Forests — through elaborate spirit-possession rituals (lên đồng). Đạo Mẫu — declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016 — is one of Vietnam's most vital indigenous religious traditions. It worships the Four Palaces (Tứ Phủ): 1. *Mẫu Thượng Thiên
