Mumbai's beloved Siddhi-vināyak
Śrī Siddhi-vināyak Mandir (1801) in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, is India's most-visited Ganesha shrine — ~2 million monthly pilgrims. Tuesdays see 25,000+ devotees; Ganesh Chaturthi (August–September) sees half a million. The temple is famous for its 10-day darshan queues. The temple has emerged as a cultural icon for Mumbaikars of all faiths. The original deity is a svayam-bhū idol.
