Story & Significance
The Aį¹£į¹avinÄyaka pilgrimage connects 8 svayam-bhÅ« Ganesha temples in western Maharashtra: MayÅ«reÅvar (Morgaon), SiddhivinÄyak (Siddhatek), BhallÄleÅvar (Pali), Varadvinayak (Mahad), Chintamani (Theur), Girijatmaja (Lenyadri), VighneÅvar (Ozar), MahÄgaį¹apati (Ranjangaon). Traditional pilgrimage order starts and ends at Morgaon. All 8 temples can be covered in 3ā5 days. The 8 together represent the complete theological expression of Ganesha in regional-Hindu practice.
Worship & Festival
Daily aarati (dawn + dusk); abhisheka; flower and coconut offerings; evening deepa-dhyana. Annual festival features procession, special darshan, distribution of prasadam, and gathering of community.
