Sacred Narrative
The Ao Naga village of Ungma is the founder-village of all Ao clans. Oral tradition holds that all Ao clans dispersed from Ungma. The village preserves ancestral graves (longstaff) and ritual stones. Although 99% of Aos are now Christian, Ungma is protected by the community as a heritage site.
