Hindu / Shakta - Delhi (Nehru Place), South Delhi, Delhi (28.5483°N, 77.2568°E) Kālkājī Mandir in south Delhi is believed to be one of Delhi's oldest shrines — tradition traces it to the Mahābhārata era (Kaurava queen Kunti is said to have worshipped here). The 12-sided marble structure was built ca. 1764. Annual Navrātri draws half a million pilgrims. Adjacent Okhla Bird Sanctuary is also part of the shrine's pilgrimage walk.
