Sacred Narrative
Gṛdhrakūṭa (Vulture Peak) at Rajgir was Buddha's favorite retreat. He taught the Prajñāpāramitā and Lotus Sūtra here. At the peak: Buddha's stone hut, Sāriputra's cave, the World Peace Stūpa (Japanese, 1969). Buddha spent the most rainy-seasons retreats here.
