Kāmadhenu, the divine wish-fulfilling cow, emerged from the churning of the cosmic ocean (Samudra Manthan). She is considered the mother of all cattle and the source of all prosperity. Possessing the head of a woman and the body of various animals, she represents the sacredness of the cow in Hindu tradition and the abundance that arises from dharma.
