Rām Tīrath — where Sita took refuge
Hindu / Vaishnava / Punjabi
Rām Tīrath (near Amritsar) is the ancient site where Sita — in her exile after Rama banished her — took refuge at Valmiki's hermitage. Here, Luv and Kush (her sons) were born. An annual fair draws 50,000+ pilgrims; they bathe in the sacred tank believed to be Sita's own bathing spot.
