Fifth Padai Veedu. Site of Murugan's marriage to Valli, the tribal girl. Hilltop temple with 365 steps (one per day of the year).
One of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalangal — temples sung in the Tevaram hymns of the 63 Nayanars (7th–9th c. CE). These are the canonical Tamil Shaiva pilgrimage circuit.
