First Padai Veedu. Rock-cut cave temple on hilltop. Celestial marriage to Devayānī performed here. One of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalangal — temples sung in the Tevaram hymns of the 63 Nayanars (7th–9th c. CE). These are the canonical Tamil Shaiva pilgrimage circuit.
