Sacred Narrative
Gaḍhadā is where Bhagwān Svāmīnārāyaṇ lived for 29 years and delivered the Vachanāmṛta (Nectar of Teachings) — the core scripture of the Swaminarayan tradition (273 sermons recorded verbatim). His footprints are preserved at Laxmi-Wadi and Akshar Bhavan. Annual Patotsav in Phalguna (March) is the principal festival. The global Swaminarayan community (BAPS, Vadtal Gadi, Ahmedabad Gadi, etc.) all recognize Gaḍhadā as sacred.
