į¹¢Äbir PÄk KÄliyarÄ« (died 1291 CE) ā nephew and successor of Baba Farid. His dargah at PÄ«rÄn KÄliyar, 7 km from Roorkee, is one of the most-visited Sufi shrines of North India. The annual Urs draws ~5 lakh pilgrims including Hindu devotees. The saint's name "į¹¢Äbir" (patient one) derives from his legendary patience ā he sat meditating for 12 years without food.
